I once saw a lady on tv who was eating junk food all day and every day, and the solution, which I suppose was a temporary one was to put the initial emphasis on the type of food rather than the quantity. So instead of her pigging herself on chocolate and soft drinks at lunch time, she would make an equal pig of herself with fruit and vegetables. In my own case, I know I eat too much chocolate and I want to switch to fruit but the problem is being prepared and having enough fruit in the right place at the right time.

My tiger barbs are looking a bit lethargic, water parameters are OK, what's wrong?

My tiger barbs are looking lethargic at the bottom of the fish tank. It's a 180 litre tank, with plants, and is well maintained. Water changes are 30% weekly. The parameters are 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, PH 7, temp 25.5 degrees C, 30ppm Nitrates, and the water is well oxygenated due to a HOB filter, and an external filter. I have a co2 checker in the tank, which indicates the co2 is in the perfect range at 25. There is reasonable flow, but not extremely strong. Current fish stock in the 180 litre tank is, 3 yoyo loaches, 3 bristlenose catfish, 9 tiger barbs, 8 juvenile praecox rainbowfish, and 2 dwarf cichlids - male and female. The tank has an open space, and plants on the edge and back of the tank. It also has a clay pipe, My water changes are done with water conditioner (the correct amounts), and my T5 lights are on for 8 hours a day during daylight hours to mimic tropical conditions in the wild. The tiger barbs are 2 years old. I also use plant fertilizer in the tank (the proper stuff - easylife profito) which is a daily fertilizer, and I add only for the water volume in the tank. I also use seachem flourish, which is "liquid carbon" added daily. This has only happened in the last week or so since using plant fertilizer and I haven't heard of anyone who has any problems with these particular fertilizers after researching the web for 8 hours constantly. There is no excessive noise around the tank, and no banging or noisy distractions for the fish. My current stock is definitely not overstocked, as I've checked with professionals locally, and also on various advisor websites. My tiger barbs are mainly male, possibly I need to remove a couple of males and add a couple of females for more natural behaviour? Not sure on that one. I care about the welfare of my fish, and have worked hard to create a natural environment (and spent stupid amounts of money). What's going onnnnn?!

I moved to a new area and usually launder my own clothes so I don't know much about dry cleaning. I called a few dry cleaners in my area. A few answered my questions: hours of operation, is there parking, do they offer discounts, shoe repair, alterations, and prices of certain garments. Others refused to give prices over the phone. One actually became offended "What is this about?!" even though I explained I was calling to offer my business. I had used one of the dry cleaners but did not have the full price list, but even then she told me to come in. Some of them claim they don't know the price of garments and give me a vague number $4 or $5. WTF? Even if I decided I was going to go to the closest dry cleaner, I still need to know how much I'll be paying. Is this evasiveness a function of the industry? Nope. Chiffon and lining material are both difficult to work with, and the skirt includes a set-in waist band, belt loops and probably a zipper. And chiffon is challenging to hem. Also, by the time you buy both the chiffon and the lining fabric, leave alone the matching thread, you will have spent more than $20. In fact, $20 for this skirt is a steal! Good luck if you try it, but I'd spring for the $20.

Hey I have a 30 gallon tank, and honestly nothing seems to live in it. We've had the water perfect, but over the years only a select few kinds of fish seem to live. Right now we have 6 yoyo loaches, and have had them for a few years but we need an algae eater. Plecos, no matter what kind, don't live too long, in my 100 gall tank our 3 plecos are doing amazing, so is there a good alternative to a pleco? Will Jungle Parasite Clear Cure Ich?

I was looking in my tank this afternoon and noticed that my yoyo loach and dalmatian molly both have a tiny round white spot on their tails =( Unfortunately I don't have any ich specific medication and I won't be able to get to a pet store until Wednesday and I want to stop this in it's tracks. I do have Jungle Parasite Clear but I read the back of the box and while it does say it kills parasites it doesn't mention ich anywhere. I also heard you can raise the temperature quite high for a week or so but I'm concerned that might hurt my fish (yoyo loach, mollies, guppies, guppy fry, and pleco). Why has my guy friend been kind of ignoring me?

Hi, I had a guy friend in school, he was one of my best friends actually, and we have been really strong friends for two years. Hi, I lost 10.5 lb in my first week of slimming world and have lost between 2 and 5lbs every week after. Its great and i've never been happier. Its a really healthy way to do it because yoou are still eating good food in abundaunce but you're more aware of the foods that dont help shed the lbs! Is this super bad for my body?

Teris, well he's a shawna, which is basically a half vampire and half seer." and while your in the fight scene, you should make little clues that will get the reader to already know what Sendia is. say things like, instead of my teeth chattered against eachother and rattled my brain. say "my fangs chattered against each other and rattled my brain" and instead of telling the reader the main characters name right off the bat, make them wait and wonder a little, it will keep their attention. and so i suggest that after you explain what everyone is, you have some one say something like have Haidas say to Teris "your lucky, man. If Sendia hadn't killed that minotaur then you would be dead right now" and then everyone will know her name. and avoid using words like thingy.... this is a very good start, the story so far is good... it grabs your attention... you just need to get better vocabulary and spelling. hope this helps :)

I am working on a Blodgett convection oven (propane) which is equipped with a Johnson Controls G770 type spark controller. My problem is that after the pilot flame is detected and the main burner solenoid valve is energized the main burner lights for about a second and then both the pilot flame and the main burner flame are extinguished. The ignition system then recycles with the same result, ultimately going into lockout. Replacing the control yields the same result so I have discounted the possibility of it being at fault. Hi, Im a 14 year old Female and I seek the advice of others about my Body Dysmorphia. I have always had issues with my self esteem and body image since I was around 4 and as long as I can really remember. Infact when I was 6 I started dieting and managed to loose a stone which I regained in around 10 seconds! At the moment I stand at 5.2-5.3ft and weigh 9.10lbs, I go to an all girls school and have always had issues with my weight. The other girls in my school are skinny, beautiful and most annyoying at all confident. Don't get me wrong, I love my school but I would love to overcome my issues and overcome my 'illness' so I can be more confident and generally happy with my self in the future. A few examples of my low confidence levels are as follow; I won't go out with no make up on, I way myself every morning and night and diet constantly (YOYO) and I generally get very depressed about myself. Another thing, near my school is a train and round the corner a boys school is situated. Everyone at myschool and all of the boys from the other school get the train and meet up at the station. In Y7 I used to suck up getting the train and get the journey over and done with as quickly as possible, now however its a different situation. If I have to get the train I will stay at school until around 6pm to avoid seeing anyone at the station. The reason you ask? I do this because every time I get to the station I feel like Im on a runway and everyone is watching me and judging me and Im not good enough. I get very red and very very nervous. At school no one really knows of my condition as I have learnt to avoid certain situations and I put on a loud, bubbly and kind character on in class. I call this my mask. At school I often spend my days going from bathroom to bathroom checking my make up and hair, my friends pressume this is cause Iam vain and not unconfident. A large majority of my insecurities come from home aswell, my close family is strange as it includes anorexics and those who are obese (curvy) My mam is probably a big part of it, I don't blame her and although she is never negative about the way I look I can't help but feel depressed everytime I see her. She is very pretty, curvy in all the right places and very glam. When Im older I aim to be a fashion Journalist or designer, Im very into fashion and I strongly dissagree with the projection of 'real women' on catwalks and how designers find size 0 way more attractive. I personally think Body Image should be on the school curriculum and I think curvy 'real women' should be encouraged and prasied upoun.Im sick of being the girl who is afraid to take risks and who feels physically sick everytime a photo is taken or she looks in the mirror.Its not like I havent tried to become more happy within myself, but Im finding it notourisly difficult to find my long lost confidence. It's good you're asking questions, but you're asking the wrong question. The camera body is NOT more important than the lens, you've got it backwards. Once you've bought into a camera system you're stuck with it as lenses aren't interchangeable between brands. You probably can buy a grey import camera in Canada for similar money if you shop around. I'd buy a 3 year warranty on top of it. I'm not familiar with both of those cameras, so I don't know what features are missing, but both brands are good and you can always purchase better lenses down the track.

Sounds to me like he may be the victim of bullying. Do you notice the other fish chasing him or pieces missing from his fins? Even fish that are smaller than him can bully him. The only thing I know to do is move him, which you have already done. I would just keep him in a separate tank with the light off for a while until his condition improves, if it does. He could just be really really stressed. He may die anyway. I'm sorry if this wasn't very helpful, I don't know why else one fish would be acting sad and the rest acting fine. :(

Is 1020 calories a day good enough? (please don't judge me)?

I'm 23. 5'11 & weigh in at 284. I know i'm fat but i'm trying my hardest to lose it. I just want to change my life around and make me being healthy my main priority. I'm going to a wedding in August and will like to be 200 pounds before I go. I'm currently on a workout program called INSANITY. The workouts last about 45 mins a day. So i'm burning from 500 cals-700. I only want 3 big meals a day.. but very very low in calories. Like 300 calories for each meal is fine as long as their big on low calorie foods (vegetables, lean chicken, protein shakes that can replace a meal, etc.) & then 2 small snacks of like 60 cals. each. So That's 1020 calories a day. When i'm done losing the weight I'd like to be more active and will add more activities to my lifestyle and will make it 1800 calories a day instead of 1020. But right now I just want to look good for that wedding, yet remain healthy and not yoyo diet. I want to be FIT for a long time.

i found some old xrated pictures of my husband and his old flame. i was very upset and told him about them. he told me to delete them he had forgotten they were there. Why can I float in water without doing anything?

I'm pretty sure everyone can float in water despite their size, if they relax, it's all because you will weigh less than the water you are displacing, water is suprisngly heavy, 1m^3 of water weighs a tonne. But also I guess if you have a slightly larger surface area then you will find floating on top of the water slightly easier, but the other people you mentioned would be able to do it if they tried hard enough.

If you are a complete beginner at yoyoing, I would go for something more basic. I say this because pretty much all of the yoyos that you mentioned specialize in string tricks and advanced ones at that. Its good to get the basics down first with a cheap yoyo then decide what type of yoyoer you want to be:D. But if you already have the basics down then I would get the Dark Magic 2.

Hi, so In year 8 I used to be really close to 1 of my guy friends when he was recently the new kid. We were still strong friends in the beginning of year 9 also.
