How to get Duncan Butterfly yoyo to sleep?

I bought a Duncan butterfly yoyo earlier today and I'm having a hard time getting it to sleep. Throwing it out, hard, soft, farther out, more curl, string on top. It's only going to sleep occasionally, do they have something they catch on in the box or something? Any tips on getting it to sleep for long periods of time?
