Which MacBook Should I Pick?

I don't play games online. I have a Kodak Zi8 (films in HD and 720p), but I have NO intentions of doing professional video editing, etc. I am going to college and price matters a lot. I definitely need a backlight for the keyboard (I think they all do?) I do type a lot and surf the internet (typical things like Facebook, YouTube, you get the idea.) Which type would best suit me? Right now, my labtop is an HP Entertainment and the screen is dangling LOL. Do college students get any type of discount? Thanks!
