My dog won't stop coughing!! Help!!?

I have a 13 yr old male weiner dog, A few hours ago he started coughing and couldn't stop. He's not choking on anything or throwing up he just can't stop coughing. He kind of stops coughing when he's laying down but still has a little ruffle in his breathing. There are no vets open right now, I need to know if there are things around the house i could give him to help. My fiance said to give him milk and see if it helps but it didn't. Pleaseeee some one help!
