How can I start eating proper meals?

I once saw a lady on tv who was eating junk food all day and every day, and the solution, which I suppose was a temporary one was to put the initial emphasis on the type of food rather than the quantity. So instead of her pigging herself on chocolate and soft drinks at lunch time, she would make an equal pig of herself with fruit and vegetables. In my own case, I know I eat too much chocolate and I want to switch to fruit but the problem is being prepared and having enough fruit in the right place at the right time.

My tiger barbs are looking a bit lethargic, water parameters are OK, what's wrong?

My tiger barbs are looking lethargic at the bottom of the fish tank. It's a 180 litre tank, with plants, and is well maintained. Water changes are 30% weekly. The parameters are 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, PH 7, temp 25.5 degrees C, 30ppm Nitrates, and the water is well oxygenated due to a HOB filter, and an external filter. I have a co2 checker in the tank, which indicates the co2 is in the perfect range at 25. There is reasonable flow, but not extremely strong. Current fish stock in the 180 litre tank is, 3 yoyo loaches, 3 bristlenose catfish, 9 tiger barbs, 8 juvenile praecox rainbowfish, and 2 dwarf cichlids - male and female. The tank has an open space, and plants on the edge and back of the tank. It also has a clay pipe, My water changes are done with water conditioner (the correct amounts), and my T5 lights are on for 8 hours a day during daylight hours to mimic tropical conditions in the wild. The tiger barbs are 2 years old. I also use plant fertilizer in the tank (the proper stuff - easylife profito) which is a daily fertilizer, and I add only for the water volume in the tank. I also use seachem flourish, which is "liquid carbon" added daily. This has only happened in the last week or so since using plant fertilizer and I haven't heard of anyone who has any problems with these particular fertilizers after researching the web for 8 hours constantly. There is no excessive noise around the tank, and no banging or noisy distractions for the fish. My current stock is definitely not overstocked, as I've checked with professionals locally, and also on various advisor websites. My tiger barbs are mainly male, possibly I need to remove a couple of males and add a couple of females for more natural behaviour? Not sure on that one. I care about the welfare of my fish, and have worked hard to create a natural environment (and spent stupid amounts of money). What's going onnnnn?!

Probably you will stay same but try not to focus on the future..focus on what's NOW..when you think about what's gonna happen later on..you get into it and just give in. Try to distract yourself..read a book, study, play whatever that does not involve reading. GL

How to determine which dry cleaners to go to?

I moved to a new area and usually launder my own clothes so I don't know much about dry cleaning. I called a few dry cleaners in my area. A few answered my questions: hours of operation, is there parking, do they offer discounts, shoe repair, alterations, and prices of certain garments. Others refused to give prices over the phone. One actually became offended "What is this about?!" even though I explained I was calling to offer my business. I had used one of the dry cleaners but did not have the full price list, but even then she told me to come in. Some of them claim they don't know the price of garments and give me a vague number $4 or $5. WTF? Even if I decided I was going to go to the closest dry cleaner, I still need to know how much I'll be paying. Is this evasiveness a function of the industry? Isn't an honest business up front about standard prices (not extras, just a standard minimum price)?

Adding driftwood to a fresh water tank?

Hello, I'm currently trying to make my tank look more natural and I'm thinking about adding driftwood/stone/etc to my tank. I have 4 mollies, 2 yoyo loaches, and a synodontis lace catfish. Nope. Chiffon and lining material are both difficult to work with, and the skirt includes a set-in waist band, belt loops and probably a zipper. And chiffon is challenging to hem. Also, by the time you buy both the chiffon and the lining fabric, leave alone the matching thread, you will have spent more than $20. In fact, $20 for this skirt is a steal! Good luck if you try it, but I'd spring for the $20.

Do any conditions make you lose & gain weight quickly?

Well being on steroids is not a good thing it can cause all sorts of problems as you get older I'm not saying anything bad its just best that you think about your health if you want to lose weight the best solution is to just cut down in your eating style eat breakfast and lunch but dinner time you just eat a small portion I use to weigh 209 pounds now I weigh 185 in just two weeks u should try it but also excercise at least three times in a day

Lied to insurance company about grades?

I made a fake report card so that my dad wouldn't be pissed off. He sent that report card to our insurance for the good student discount. Is there any way to get out of this? If I tell the insurance company, it may charge me with fraud. If I don't say anything, it may contact my university. I think I would actually be eligible for the good student discount anyway, but fraud is fraud. What should I do?

Bottom feeders for a smaller tank?

Hey I have a 30 gallon tank, and honestly nothing seems to live in it. We've had the water perfect, but over the years only a select few kinds of fish seem to live. Right now we have 6 yoyo loaches, and have had them for a few years but we need an algae eater. Plecos, no matter what kind, don't live too long, in my 100 gall tank our 3 plecos are doing amazing, so is there a good alternative to a pleco? Thanks a lot, also when I say nothing survived it is that our tank has been good for sometime now and nothing is wrong with it, I seriously have no idea why lots of our fish used to die.
